Chief Investment Officer

As the Chief Investment Officer at Pallas Capital Advisors, Mark utilizes his 20+ years of institutional investment experience to oversee all investment strategies at the firm. Mark is responsible for directing the investment philosophy and process, as well as leading the team in tailoring execution to each client account.

Prior to his current role, Mark held positions at BNY Mellon since 2007, where he most recently was a CIO responsible for $10 billion in Assets Under Management. As CIO there, he mentored and developed a team of 15 people running $10 billion in global equities combining fundamental and quantitative inputs. He was also responsible for the design and implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) programs. As lead portfolio manager on global and international equity products, Mark generated alpha and helped grow the franchise. Prior to BNY Mellon, Mark worked at Putnam Investments as a global equity portfolio manager and analyst for nearly a decade.

Mark earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his BS with Honors from Penn State as a graduate from the University Scholars program. Mark is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter holder since 1999 and also holds the CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) designation.

Mark lives in Medfield with his wife, Paula, and three children, Lindsay, Ryan, and Kylie. The family loves to spend time in the White Mountains skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. He supports various local and national charities including National Eczema Association and National Alopecia Areata Foundation.
